Flights have been booked, appointments have been made, hotels rooms will be waiting, the packing or the piles have been started ..... we can't wait to get on the plane to bring our little boy home!
Here is our finalized China Itinerary. I can't believe we are only 7 days away from being on our way to China (insert scream)!!!!
January 13 - Arrive in Beijing at 9:00pm
January 14 - Great Wall and Hutong Lane Tour
January 15 - Holt Orientation in am and tour Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City in the afternoon
January 16 - Leave Beijing and arrive in Jinan at 3:00 pm
January 17 - GOTCHA DAY!!! We will have Max in our arms for the first time! In the afternoon we will travel to the Civil Affairs Office and apply for Max's passport.
January 18 - 20 - Free Days to explore and experience Max's city.
January 21 - Pick up Max's passport and fly to Guangzhou
January 22 - Paperwork check and Max's Medical Exam
January 23 - Free Day
January 24 - Free Day
January 25 - Apply for Max's Visa at the US Consulate and the Oath Taking Ceremony
January 26 - Free Day
January 27 - Pick up Max's Visa and take a train to Hong Kong
January 28 - Time to head home with our little boy!!!! Fly out of Hong Kong at 10:35am. Arrive in Detroit at 12:10pm - when Max's little feet hit US soil he is officially a US citizen. We arrive in Sioux Falls at 4:28 pm.

We will hopefully be arriving the 15th in Jinan, I have requested the same hotel as you, but dont have confirmation of anything yet. I am on pins and needles to see what the agent our adoption agency does for all of our itinerary! See you soon! I wont be hard to spot, tall (5'10") blonde, with a shorter (5'5") hubby and signing like crazy people heheh. I doubt the hotel and town will be full of Americans so I think we will be able to find each other! Looking forward to meeting you and Max!
Sooooooo, when you have him in your arms on “Gotcha Day” can you take him with you for all those other adventures or does he have to remain in the orphanage? I cannot imagine leaving him once you physically held him, saw him, etc. I think of your often. My prayers go out to you. I cannot wait to see more pics of him. Please take a ton of China as well. God be with you (as He obviously is already).
